Maybe I’m a bit early but I think spring is definitely here! Apparently the official day of Spring 2010 is 20th March – but I reckon it’s when the bulbs I planted in my garden last year start coming up – and they have! I have done a little research to find out how anyone knows which is the ‘official’ day of Spring – apparently it is when every place on earth experiences a 12 hour day! The sun rises exactly in the East, travels through the sky for 12 hours and sets exactly in the West – this is the Vernal Equinox – impressed?? You should be! Now enough of the Geography lesson, what ‘springs’ to mind when you think of Spring? Snowdrops, daffodils, little baby chicks and bunnies and that warm feeling inside that the cold winter is behind us….if you still need a little help getting that warm fuzzy feeling then we can make you smile – Bungee Jump, Birthday Dancer, You’re the best, Not the same without you, Incredible Hulk.
And remember send an ecard a day will make you smile all day!
I have been a bit poor in my promise of delivering weekly fascinating facts, so I thought I’d give you a few ‘Springtime trivia’ to keep you amused :
1. A tulip bulb can be used in place of onions for cooking (I haven’t actually tried this and take no responsibility if it's not true!)
2. A young robin will eat as much as 14 feet of earthworms a day – yuck!
3. Honeybees prefer yellow and blue flowers.
4. For a single bee to make a one pound comb of honey, they must collect pollen from two million flowers – now they really are busy bees!
So enjoy your first unofficial day of Spring!

‘Top o’ the morning to ye!’ - St Patrick’s Day is one of the greatest Irish festivals, commemorating the death of St Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, and celebrated all around the world! Did you know St. Patrick’s Day was first celebrated in America in 1737??
Spread the spirit of Paddy’s Day with everyone, even if you’re not Irish, with some great ecards. Having a drink on Paddy’s day is a great Irish tradition, so invite your friends for a Guinness (or glass of wine for the ladies!)
Or why not search our printed cards section for our great selection of St Paddy’s Day cards!

Don’t forget!!! Sunday 14th March is Mothers Day (well, at least for all our UK followers), and we have some fabulous new Mothers Day Chattabox ecards to send! Choose from Mothers Day Rap, to Elvis Mothers Day, from Wonderful Mother to Busy Bee! If you’re Mum is a Super Hero, then tell her, or just send a classic ecard telling her you love her! If none of these take your fancy, choose from our great range of printed Mothers Day cards that can be sent through the post!
Now some strange but true Mother’s Day facts!
· The earliest Mother’s Day celebrations can be traced back to the Spring celebrations of ancient Greece in honour of Rhea, the Mother of the Gods.
· A mother giraffe often gives birth while standing, so the newborn’s first experience outside the womb is a 1.8 meter drop!
· The world’s youngest mother is Lina Medina, who made medical history in May 1939 when she gave birth to a little boy. Lina was aged 5 years and 7 months at the time!
· The world’s oldest mother was Maria del Carmen Bousada Lara who gave birth to twins on 29th Dec 2006 at the age of 66 years 358 days old!
· The greatest officially recorded number of children born to one mother is 69, to the wife of Feodor Vassilyev (b. 1707–c.1782), a peasant from Shuya, Russia. In 27 confinements she gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets and four sets of quadruplets.
For those of you in USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, you still have until May 9th to organise your Mother’s Day ecard – plenty of time. Remember, you can add a reminder to your FunPunch calendar and we will send you a reminder email. Or if you’re feeling super organised, why not create your Mother’s Day ecard today and schedule it in to be sent on 9th May?

OMG I can’t believe it’s been a whole week since my last Blog! Why is time flying like the wind?? I guarantee before you know it, it’ll be Valentines’ Day and there’ll be a rush to send all your Valentines Day ecards – depending of course on how much Love you need to spread, will depend on if you send more than one!!
Now you may ask, what have I been up to? First off, I have kept to my promise last week and can give you this week’s fascinating facts…..
1. Butterflies taste with their feet
2. An elephant can’t jump
A couple of random facts to keep you on your toes – although I do wonder who actually cares or will even remember them??
This week I’m struggling for an exciting topic of conversation for my Blog. So I thought to myself, how can I find a source of inspiration? I figured, I’d just start writing about what I love to do, and like most people I love Holidays!! Whether it’s relaxing on a beach, taking part in water sports, adventure holidays, or even cultural holidays I love them! If you haven’t booked your annual Holiday yet, or you need a bit of inspiration, then check out Angelina Holiday or Leonardo Holiday to get you in the mood. For those of you who have already booked their holidays – why not make friends and family green with envy and send them a ‘Wish You Were Here’ postcard featuring Angelina or Leonardo.
Now. on a different note, I’d love to hear what people think of my Blog. If you love it, or hate it (just like Marmite), or if you can give me any inspiration I would be forever grateful. Leave me a message on the FunPunch Facebook page – better yet, why not become a fan! And a quick update, keep your eyes peeled – soon you’ll be able to login to your Facebook account and your FunPunch account at the same time – this is going to be awesome!!

If anyone is suffering from the January Blues, have no fear – it’s almost over! Payday is just around the corner, the weather is brightening up and we’re all feeling on top of the world after sticking to our New Year’s resolutions!
Yeah right! In reality, payday seems further away than ever, the weather is vile and most people broke their New Year Resolutions on Jan 1st! But I’m hoping I can still cheer you up! As you all know I do a lot of research as part of my job, and I have come up with some fascinating facts that I bet you never knew:
1. Mosquitos have teeth
2. Coca cola would be green if colouring wasn’t added to it
3. Dolphins sleep with one eye open
4. An ostrich’s eye is bigger than it’s brain
Now it’s going to be of my Resolutions this year to bring you a fascinating fact every week – so you can impress your friends with your wealth of useless knowledge! – let’s see how long this resolution lasts.
But if I’ve bored you rigid with my inane waffling and interesting facts, then have a giggle and check out our Real Film ecards. We’ve just got some brand new celebrity ecards so send an ecard today! Imagine waking up next to Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie. Or what about partying with Jennifer Anniston or Simon Cowell? You can even shake your Booty with Beyonce on the dance floor – go on check them out!
So until next week my faithful followers (or is it follower?)

Has anyone ever heard of Darren the waving goat?? I stumbled across poor old Darren when I was undertaking ‘research’….a poor little goat who is being dubbed the next superstar of Britain’s Got Talent – move over Susan Boyle! I’m not sure about how successful a waving goat will be, but it’s still worth a look!
http://www.metro.co.uk/weird/808608-waving-goats-goodbye-to-britains-got-talent
If you think Darren is talented, then you’ll love our talented Chattabox animals. No goats to talk of yet, but we’re working on it! So if you want a little amusement this lunchtime, go and checkout some talking animal ecards. Have a look at our saucy camel, our naughty Giraffes, Pigs, Lions, Dogs, Cats – a complete comical menagerie! Make sure you make someone smile today and send them a Chattabox ecard!

How come I seem to be the only person in the entire country who hasn’t had a snow day?? I’ve been a super hero and battled through blizzards, huge snow drifts and skated on ice (perhaps not quite as gracefully as all those Dancing on Ice celebrities!) just to get to work every day – now I ask myself is this dedication or pure foolishness?? And now with the ‘warmer weather’ – ha! it seems I’ve missed my chance for a snow day!
But enough about my grumbling, no one wants to talk about snow anymore – the novelty has definitely worn off! Instead I want to dream of warmer climates , soaking up the sun and summer holidays.
So keep warm and safe all my avid followers…..

Happy New Year and hello from my very first 2010 Blog! With the arrival of a new year, I’m sure you’ve all made resolutions, I know I have.
I’ve been doing a bit of research into the top New Year Resolutions. Yep, you’ve guessed it, it’s to lose weight, get fit and have a fabulous body for 2010. But it’s never that easy is it? If some of you have already fallen off the wagon and gorged yourself on cakes and biscuits, and of course drunk a little too much alcohol, then have no fear – you can still get the 2010 body you want! Check out our Beach Babe, Muscle Man, Pole Dancer or hot hot Fireman.
With dancing fever taking over the world, maybe you’ve decided to improve your moves on the dance floor in 2010? You could be shaking your booty with Beyonce, partying with Jennifer or dancing under those disco balls with Simon. If these don’t take your fancy then show us the Cancan, the Hula Dance, your Elvis moves or take it back to the 80’s with a bit of body popping Break Dancing!
I’ve already broken my NY resolutions, so anyone Fancy a Beer?
Till next time!

Yippee, only 2 days left until Santa visits!! Have you finished all your Christmas shopping, decorated the tree, got the tasty Christmas food in and of course wrapped all those pressies? So much to do and not enough time!
If you need a little time out from all the Christmas mayhem then check out my favourite Christmas ecards. Personally I love Christmas Toilet – how funny is this – a guy sitting on the toilet farting to the tune of Jingle Bells! If that doesn’t float your boat upload a photo and star as a dancing elf or Santa in Elf Dancing by the Fire, Santa, Funky Santa or Xmas Breakdancer. Or send our adorable Elvis impersonator in Elvis Christmas.
Whatever you send, I guarantee that these will get you in the festive spirit and banish any Bah humbuggers straight to January!

Liven up your Christmas Party this year and send the invites out using one of our ecards. My personal favourite is the Christmas Rap – guaranteed to make you laugh. If you’re looking for something a little more sensible, but still funny then have a look at Christmas Party orDisco Christmas.
If your Christmas Party is a little more wild and saucy then why not send our Female Xmas Stripper or our Male Xmas Stripper! I can even recommend something if you get lucky at this year’s Christmas Party!!! Instead of that awkward post party text message you could send a fab ecard inviting the lucky lady/chap for a drink! Have a look at Titanic Male or Titanic Female, Fancy a Beer or Die Hard – guaranteed to break the ice!
If it’s too late to send invites or you’ve already had your Christmas Party, then you could send these comical ecards as a thank you or to get colleagues, friends or family in the party mood! If that’s not enough, a small reminder, Christmas is only 10 days away!!

With only a few weeks to go, who is going to be the UK X Factor 2009 winner? Will Cheryl be the winning mentor again with Joe McElderry? Or will it be down to Danni Minogue this year and the only girl left in the competition, Stacey Solomon. Or is it Simon Cowell’s turn to win with the over 25’s Olly Murs and Danyl Johnson?
If you actually know who these people are, or care who wins X Factor 2009 then you have got to check out our Xmas Factor ecard! It’s now time for YOU to face the judges! Upload your photo (or you can use one of our famous faces) and you can sing in front of Simon Cowell! Turn up the volume to hear his response.
